Emily Harris is a multiple award-winning writer/director. Her work has been shown at major film festivals and museums worldwide. Accolades include Jury Award at Tribeca Film Festival for Best Narrative Film (Nominee), Jury Prize at Raindance Film Festival (Winner), Best Lo-Budget Feature at London International Film Festival (Winner), Best Production Design at Munich Film Festival (Winner), Special Award at Split Film Festival (Winner), First Prize at Montreal World Film Festival (Nominee), Gold Q-Hugo Award at Chicago Film Festival (Nominee) and the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature (Nominee). She is a Berlinale Talent Alumna, a full voting member of BAFTA and Curator of Film for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She holds degrees from the Glasgow School of Art, London Film School, National Film and Television School and a Masters in Film and Television from Royal Holloway University.

Her solo feature debut CARMILLA was nominated for the MICHAEL POWELL AWARD for BEST BRITISH FEATURE prior to its UK release in 2020 and went on to be released internationally; in the US with Film Movement, Australia/NZ with ICON Film Distribution and UK with Altitude.
