Writer/Director/Curator

Overview

 Museum Work

Alongside my work as a writer and filmmaker, I am a Curator of Film at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

My role centres on building and shaping the museum’s Film and Television collection, with a particular focus on how moving image can deepen and extend the experience of objects, performance and history. I develop audio-visual works and installations that sit within exhibitions, creating new ways for audiences to encounter narrative, archive and memory in a gallery context.

I also produce multi-camera live theatre recordings for the National Video Archive of Performance, contributing to the long-term preservation of stage work and ensuring that the intangible heritage of performance histories remain accessible for future audiences, artists and researchers.

My practice within the museum spans curatorial development, filmmaking and live events. I create film installations, collaborate across departments and disciplines, and regularly moderate talks and public programmes with artists and practitioners.

Across this work, I am interested in how stories are framed, preserved and experienced. As well as the tension between documentation and interpretation when translating live or historical material into moving image.
